Here’s my Cozy Fall Home Tour with Vintage Farmhouse Style.
I’m joining a talented array of ladies today with a wide variety of home decor styles. Thanks to Pasha from Pasha is Home for hosting us. If you’re visiting from This is Simplicite, I’m sure you were wowed by Mansa’s beautiful modern home, dressed in Fall neutrals. I’ll have the rest of the Fall Home tour posts at the end; I hope you can enjoy them all!
First, A Hello!
Hi, I’m Lora, and I love my home decor to have well-earned character. I’ve been scrounging curbsides and secondhand haunts for vintage finds way too long. I love reviving and repurposing anything old that someone else has given up on. I was a vintage dealer for many years and owned my own store with a friend for 5 1/2 years. It was a blast, but these days I enjoy sharing all my experience with my blog readers and on social media.
My family and I live in a 100+ year old Fake Farmhouse on a couple acres. Even though it’s been 20+ years, we’ve still got projects to do! Hope you enjoy this Fall tour of our home.

Autumn Decorated Kitchen; the Heart of the Home
Our remodeled farmhouse kitchen is indeed the heart of our home. We spent many years designing and remodeling it, mostly by ourselves and are still happy with how it turned out. I enjoy decorating it for each season.
Vintage collections combine with natural clippings from the yard for inexpensive style. We’ve been winding down the veggie garden so I have a lot of tomatoes and zucchini to deal with. I’m enjoying the last of the garden’s flowers, too. Picking fresh bouquets from our yard is one of my favorite things to do!

Kitchen Sitting Area
The end of our kitchen looks out to our wraparound porch. We have a cozy sitting area to enjoy the indoor/outdoor view. If you can squeeze a comfy, upholstered chair or loveseat into your kitchen , I’d highly recommend it. It’s the perfect spot for family and friends to chat while you’re finishing up the meal. {read my “9 Must-Haves for Creating a Cozy Sitting Area in the Kitchen“}

This built-in bookshelf was made with old cupboards that were my grandma’s. This year I was inspired by THIS brand new book and filled the shelves with an all brown collection of vintage. {See more in “Vintage Inspired Decorating Ideas with 57 Buttermilk Acres}.
Fall Decorated Dining Room
Finding the right combination of furniture pieces for your home that have the perfect balance of display and storage can be tricky. Our dining room is space challenged, but this past year I scored a set of upholstered dining chairs on FB marketplace. They are so comfortable compared to the old, hard chairs we had before.
Then I decided this room needed a piece that had both display and storage. I have a lot of stuff because I switch things up every season…and I have a weakness for dishes:) I found the perfect pine hutch on FB again and gave it a vintage-inspired makeover. I am loving being able to style this hutch for the seasons, and all the cupboards and drawers are very handy, too!
My vintage pottery collection fills the shelves this Fall. The table is set for a special brunch I’m having next week with my mom’s best friends. Since she passed away last year from ALS, I’ve been missing them. We’re going to celebrate her birthday and remember stories of her together; I can’t wait.

Fall Decorated Living Room
Last stop on today’s Fall home tour is our living room. It’s definitely cozy. I’ve filled it with plenty of architectural accessories, shabby chippy finds and vintage industrial style. The Fall decor embraces clippings from the yard: pampus grass, hydrangeas, and corn stalks and husks from a friend. I love mixing organic, natural touches with vintage finds.
Thrifted, handmade afghans provide coziness and seasonal color. Collections of old suitcases, globes and brown bottles add that timeworn, nostalgic touch. Lots of texture is what I love in the Fall!
