So inspirational! Could share where you got the gorgeous green corrugated edging?

    1. Lora Bloomquist says:

I think I got it at an estate sale, Barb, or maybe a garage sale. It is old and someone had kept it in their garage for a long time.

Hi Lora, Usually I resist commenting on websites visited. YOU are definitely an exception because of the creative way you deal with old things to make them live again so artistically! Congratulations on both counts. I will check in as often as I can. I’m a country girl at heart even if the years are mounting quickly! Thanks, Helen

Helen, You are too sweet! Thank you for taking the extra time to leave a comment; it means so much! Sometimes we as bloggers think we’re sitting talking to the wall and creating all this stuff for who knows who; it’s so good to hear from actual, live, real people and know we’re inspiring someone! I’m a country girl too…still trying to get that house in a farm field somewhere;) I love all the old stuff and bringing new life to all that time-worn character!

  4. You are the Queen of Vintage Vignettes, Lora, both inside and outside the home!

    1. Lora Bloomquist says:

I’ll have to make a sign for myself that says that, Marie;) Thanks, friend!

  5. You have a great eye for design! I’m a fan of eclectic items and really like your refresh and arrangement of common garden items.

Thanks for the sweet compliment, Audra! I do like to make the mundane beautiful;) Hoping to challenge others to see potential so they can create the unique!

  6. Wonderful ideas, Lora–all of your outdoor spaces look just terrific. I’m really enamored with the garden trowels attached to the bicycle wheel spokes–super ingenious 🙂

    1. Lora Bloomquist says:

Thanks, Diana! I’m sure you’ve got enough tools laying around to accomplish some of these ideas!

Wonderful! Have fun decorating with them, Marlene:)

  10. So many fabulous ideas Lora! You have an amazing collection of old yard tool goodness. I’m in love love love with that blue shovel idea! I definitely need something like that in one of my gardens.

  12. I like your old gate hung on the wall the best. I feel so deprived ’cause I don’t have any old tools!! You always have great ideas.

    1. Lora Bloomquist says:

Now you’ll be on the hunt for them, Vikki;) Good luck!

  13. Fun Post…I’m really enamored with the hose wreath, but hubby nixed it, of course it’s perfectly alright to have crappy/dead hoses draped all over the yard…LOL. Love all the vintage sprinklers though!

    1. Lora Bloomquist says:

Oh, you made me laugh, Sandi! My engineer hubs usually takes quite a while to come around to my crazy ideas, too! I feel your pain:) We’re currently in the “Can we use the antique claw foot tub in the bathroom remodel” decision! I’m just so weird that I want these things…

  14. Lora! Oh my gosh, you have a ton of amazing ideas here. ALL of them!! I love the whole vignette with the aqua spade – the red chair is just plain sweet, and I especially like how you incorporated the spade. It’s perfect for the vertical, but the way you gave it the finishing touch for fresh picked flowers…well that just plain awesome! Thank you for sharing all of these ideas. So good!!

    1. Lora Bloomquist says:

Thanks, Sheila! I’ve got 2 of those red chairs-they’re the newest to the family and I’m loving them. I get to look at that cute little rusty vignette right outside my kitchen sliding glass door and it just makes my vintage, junky heart smile;)

    1. Lora Bloomquist says:

Glad you liked that one, Linda! I have planted a climber at the base, which works really well:)

  15. You always have such great ideas Lora! I am in love with those tractor sprinklers! I NEED one!
