I loved all of the great ideas for old quilts. I have an old wedding ring quilt from my deceased mother in law that I want to repurpose for my daughter, daughter in law and granddaughters.

Love the idea of spreading it around to all of them! Great idea!

  2. So many great ideas Lora! Your picnic setting is gorgeous! I especially love using quilts outdoors. I have many quilts too. When my youngest was little and at home, we packed a quilt, and some lunch and headed to the local lake for a reading party for a few hours. We would usually fall asleep on the quilt!

  3. Thanks for this post Lora! We have some of our Grandmothers and Great-grandmothers quilts stored in a box! You have inspired me to get them out and use them! I’ll be sharing this post in my weekly newsletter on Saturday! Have a wonderful week!

Wonderful, Donna; thanks! Glad you were inspired:)

  4. Great ideas. A family friend made me a quilt for my wedding. She made it from scraps of fabric that she had used to make my family and I clothes for Easter every year. It is a treasure. It has been on my bed for over 38 years.

  5. I always love seeing how you use quilts in your vintage decor and vignettes, Lora. Using the old top as a tablecloth is one of my favorites! oh, and that log cabin with wool fabric is so cozy on your winter bedding. Happy January!
