Favorite Projects of 2018
Looking back over the year and what you’ve accomplished brings some satisfaction when new year’s goals seem overwhelming. I know at this time of the year I can dwell on all the things I still need to learn, all the projects that didn’t get done, the places I didn’t quite get to, and it can be depressing. So today I’m going to go over all the fun projects I did accomplish and create in 2018. My “Top Posts for 2018” I wrote about the other day was gathered just from metrics, which is greatly influenced by Pinterest clicks. Today’s favorites combine metrics, along with reader’s responses and my own personal enjoyment! Enjoy this list of Favorite Projects of 2018!
A true trash-to-treasure project which is at the core of what I do. A curbside toolbox gets a whole new junky life on my kitchen counter!
Adding Vintage Feedsacks to New Furniture Seats
Combining something new with something old is definitely the best of both worlds! We’ve been enjoying our new loveseat and chair in our little kitchen sitting area and it’s so nice to not worry about wrecking the seats!
Crimped wire vintage fencing has always been one of my favorite materials. I just love it’s galvanized, rusty goodness and architectural style. I shared 2 great projects this year to enjoy it’s beauty:
Re-purposed Vintage Fencing Squares DIY
Re-purposed Garbage Can Planter with Vintage Fencing
Seasonal changes and holidays always inspire the creativity! Here were a few of my favorite holiday projects of 2018.
Valentine Handkerchief Charger
(There were actually 2 versions- a live succulent and an everlasting)
I’ve been in the making and selling biz for many years, but am now just blogging about it. Mr. Fix-it is plenty happy to get to keep all the cool things he makes for me, rather than have it disappear minutes after he’s done! Here are 2 projects from 2018 we’re enjoying in our kitchen everyday!
From Vintage Roof Rack to Cool Coffee Table
Re-purposing a Vintage Printer’s Box
I had so much fun getting to know the creative bloggers in our Creative Vintage Darlings Facebook group this year! If you love vintage, definitely pop on over {Here} and join in on the fun! Warning…you may be inspired to find more treasures;) We all got together and challenged ourselves to a “Thrift the Look” blog hop. We used a vintage lakehouse theme, and had so much fun! (Teaser alert…we’ve got a Boho style challenge coming soon!) We got a new bookshelf out of this challenge:
How to Thrift the Look, Vintage Lakehouse
And last, but definitely not least on my Favorite Projects of 2018 were redecorating my big kid’s rooms! They’re full of their personalities and packed with unique, custom projects. Definitely an accomplishment I feel good about!
