First, An Introduction
If you’re new here, welcome! I have been hunting down vintage junk finds for most of my life. I love reviving and repurposing old things and basically live the trash to treasure lifestyle! We live in a 100+ year old Fake Farmhouse that Mr. Fix-it and I have been working on since we moved in 20 years ago. Luckily, I think our 3 kiddos learned a lot in the process.
For many years I sold vintage, and owned my own store for 5 1/2 years. It was a blast, but tiring. These days I’m happy to share my years of experience and continual vintage adventures here on the blog. Now you’ll know why I’ve got plenty of old treasures; vintage is in my blood!

Revived Antique Furniture in the Bedroom
Two years ago we thought we were going to move, and I packed up most of our house and stuck it in a storage garage. It never happened. As I swapped up some seasonal bins, I realized the furniture that was only supposed to be stored for 2 months was getting damaged. As I cried and swore, I decided that storage building needed to be cleared out. So, this year’s Christmas decor is filled with my long-missed furniture pieces and collections!
This spoon-carved antique dresser is one of my all-time favorite furniture makeovers {“Dresser Makeover in Vintage Green”}. It got a little mold damage on the bottom, but I’m so happy to enjoy it in our bedroom again! It inspired the green, white, gold and silver color scheme this year.
A rose-gold tree stands tall next to it, filled with garden-inspired ornaments. It’s also placed in one of my favorite chippy, antique metal containers. I scored it at a junkyard when the men-folk were looking at old cars:)
Vintage Silver and Gold Accents as Christmas Decor
I also unpacked my collection of vintage silver. I love the patina of tarnish. Combined with flickering candles and plenty of faux greens, it added a romantic touch to our bedroom decor.
My “DIY Repurposed Mirror Frame with Vintage Tin” has enough gold patina to pair with the tarnished silver. It’s the perfect length to hang over a shabby mantel shelf I found curbside.
Fresh White Accents for a Snowy, Wintry, Look
I recently got this pretty, white coverlet and shams for our bed (you can find them HERE). I love the clean, neutral look and how it drapes beautifully to the floor. I’m excited I can use all my vintage quilts and coverlets over the top, too.
Last year’s embellished, purchased pillows {“How to Easily Give Purchased Pillow Covers Custom Charm“} matched perfectly on the bed. Swapping up pillow covers is such an easy way to switch up the decor seasonally.
(And yes, we have an ugly fan above our bed and low ceilings. It’s practical; when those middle of the night hot flashes hit, I don’t care about the decor ugliness:)
White curtains and a big, white primitive cupboard keep it bright and sunny in our window-filled room.
White milkglass came out of storage for the top of the cupboard. More faux greens and silver combine with an old clock I found curbside and some wood spindles. The old, mirrored medicine cabinet was too tall to stand, so I simply laid it on it’s side; it reflects the window nicely.
Yes, I totally copied Michelle from Thistle Key Lane‘s pretty jingle bell garland! I love it’s wispy look. I added a few old reindeer I’d found at a church sale. The old player piano roll got treated to some faux greens for a Christmas outfit.
That’s the full tour of our Very Vintage Christmas decorated bedroom. Now you get a peek outside the door and down the hallway!
Built In Vintage Cabinet, Decorated for Christmas
When we remodeled our bedroom, we moved the doorway to make room in the hallway for an old glass cabinet my Grandma had found at a garage sale. Luckily I found an old dresser curbside with the right measurements for down below. Once revived with stained drawers and black chalk paint, it matched up perfectly with the glass cabinet. {get styling tips in “10 Styling Ideas That Make Glass Front Cabinet Displays Beautiful”}
I love styling this piece at the top of our stairs for the season. With the addition of some electric lights, it’s a fun, night-time feature. This winter it’s featuring a blue and white wintry scene, featuring my Turquoise Blue Fire-King dishes (also recently unpacked;). I just found the cute little deer at Target; they were a perfect finishing touch!
(The stairway and hallway is one of our last-to-complete projects on this house! Someday…)
End of the Hallway Decorated for Christmas
Not to overlook any corner of my home, the end of the hallway gets treated to a simple winter scene. It’s what we see when we come out of our bedroom door, and definitely gives this skinny, long hallway some pretty! This spot is between 2 of my kiddo’s rooms; the one on the left used to be Happy Girl’s room, but is now becoming my studio/office! You can get a sneak peek in “Easy Yarn Ball Garland How To“. Can’t wait to get this room all ready!
The yarn tree is my most recent upcycle. See “Repurposed Old Grate Decor Idea for Christmas” for my other versions and the how to. The cute little vintage gloves were worn by Happy Girl when she was young; can’t believe she’s all grown up, working a “real” job now! Incorporating sentimental things into your Christmas decor makes it that much more special.

Thanks, Lynne!
Lora this is Jennifer you have some beautiful work and ideas just like your mom
Hi, Jennifer! Yes, apple doesn’t fall far from the tree;)
Yes, vintage is in your blood! I got so many wonderful ideas and can hardly wait to implement them next year. At least I hope to remember to do so! Each little treasure brought a smile to my face and wondered about the stories behind each one. Like the little wool gloves. So cute! Glad to have hopped with you again this week. Merry Christmas friend! pinned
Glad you got some inspiration, Cindy! The little cream-colored mittens were made by my sweet Grandma, who was definitely my mentor. The wonderful aqua mittens with the deer were from an antique store I used to sell at; I do love them!
I love your pretty holiday decor! It looks so festive and beautiful Lora! xo
Thanks, Stacy!
Absolutely beautiful. Love the green. Did you have to cut a slit in the coverlet for the end posts on your bed? The picture on the website doesn’t show a slit. Thanks!
Yes I did have to cut slits in the corners for the posts; thanks for pointing that out:)
Thank you – I will have to try it when I get that spread. Yours looks gorgeous!
Good luck, Pam!
Lora,
I love bedrooms decorated for Christmas, they are just so romantic. Yours is gorgeous! Happy December! Pinned!
Thanks, Libbie!
Lora, you have so many gorgeous vintage pieces! You truly are the vintage queen! I’m not sure which ones I loved the most, but that spoon-carved dresser mixed with your vintage silver is high on the list. And the blue dishware in the built in cabinet is so beautiful! So happy to tour with you this week. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Thanks so much for your sweet compliments, ladies:)
Lora your home is just beautiful for the holidays!
Thanks, Ana!
If you only knew how many times I’ve thought of you and wondered, “what would Lora do” when creating holiday vignettes. You’re the master – your decorated bedroom is beautiful! I love how you decorated the end of your hallway too. I never would think to use kid’s chairs in the mix.
Marie, you are the winner of my favorite comments award:) I’ve been thinking I should get bracelets made up with WWLD, but that may be blasphemous (?), or a copyright infringement:( I appreciate your sweet words so much; thank you, friend!
Oh my gosh Lora, it’s beautiful!! I love the decorated player piano roll, did you glue the greenery to it or how is it attached? And that tree!! So skinny!! I love it! The vignette on the dresser is adorable with the tree on the wire thing… so awesome!! Pinned!
Tania
Thanks, Tania! I hot glued the greenery to the piano roll; easy peasy!
Lora you are just so creative. What a beautiful and inspiring home tour. Happy holidays💙💙
Thanks for your sweet words, Ann:)
I just want to be left alone in your home for an hour and take in all the vintage goodness! Your bedroom is beautiful Lora. I especially love the hallway cabinet. It’s so unique and so are all the pieces displayed in it.
Thanks, Kim:) I did have fun styling that hallway cabinet; I’ve never done blues in there before. It just glows at night:)
I love everything! Ah! Gimme all the vintage! Your creativity is so inspirting!
The little reindeer on the ribbon are precious! I have tons of silverplate that I haven’t used in my Christmas decorating in a couple of years, but you have inspired me to bring the little creamers and dress them up for the holiday to use in my China Cabinet.
It’s always fun touring your home!
Merry Christmas!
Glad you enjoyed it, Amber! The silver does look so pretty during the holidays:)
So many pretty vintage items in you tour! So nice to be touring with you this week! Merry Christmas!
Thanks, Kim!
I love all of the pretty vintage touches in your bedroom, Lora. So happy to be touring with you this week!
Thanks, Jen; it’s been an inspiring week:)
Get Ready! You’re about to have a Christmas/Winter Season Guest! I so love everything in this post. It’s hard to pick a favorite. Easy to see that you are a lover of Christmas and it’s decor! I can’t believe many of these items were in storage – so wonderful! If I truly had to pick just 1 piece…… arghhh… so hard – it would have to be the mirror frame with vintage tin. Just beautiful decorating.
P.S. we can discuss my room and board rate once I move in. 😂
You’re too funny, Beth! But you should probably wait till I finish decorating the main floor for Christmas;) And if only I had a guest room…So glad you were inspired!
I love the wallpaper on your wall. Your bedroom looks so pretty and a wonderful place to wake up and enjoy Christmas. Have a very Merry Christmas.
I still love that wallpaper, too, Marlene! When the morning sun rises, the room just glows…which is good since I’m not a morning person;)
Thanks for sharing some great Xmas decorating ideas, with vintage touches added. I always look forward to reading your posts. Thanks, and Happy Holidays- Patty B
Glad you enjoyed it, Patty!
Lora, I decorated my bedroom more than usual this year and have really been enjoying it.
Yours is lovely! I especially like your creative stitching in the vintage grate–co clever! Pinning! Blessings, Cecilia @My Thrift Store Addiction

It’s so beautiful! Your furniture is amazing!
Thanks, Robin! I love reviving old furniture:)
Lora,
I loved all your vintage touches to the bedroom. So fun doing these together.
It makes the season so special to have the bedroom decorated:)
Your vintage decor is absolutely stunning! I adore that sweet tinsel tree. My brother and I had those growing up and they are a favourite childhood memory of mine.
I’ve loved this one; it’s such a fun change from normal green:)
Several years ago I rescued a box of piano rolls from a curb. (I would love to own an old player piano, but I don’t think it will happen.) Your Christmas wall hanging is so perfect!!! I plan to repurpose some!
Thanks for the great idea!
I love your vintage decor!
What a wonderful find! I’ve got 2 others I’m still trying to think of ideas for;)
Lora,
Just beautiful, I enjoyed seeing your special touches.
Everything is warm and cozy. You made a beautiful Christmas sanctuary. Now I’m going through again to see if I can decide which one to Pin.
Pinned and great touring with you
Thanks for pinning, Cindy! And thanks for your kind words:)
I so much enjoyed seeing how you decorated your bedroom for Christmas. I slowly scrolled through your post, enjoying every picture that you shared.
It’s so fun to enjoy the twinkly lights at night:)
Oooooh, I have a huge crush on that little green dresser, and all your green books (curious as to how “John Becomes a Man” ends😂) I just learned something new about you…I didn’t know you had a store before! Awesome tour!
Can’t say I’ve read that one, Jennifer;) Will have to let you know! Yes, for almost 20 years most of my best vintage finds & projects were sold. Now I get to keep the good stuff:)
Jennifer
You made me giggle! I, too, have been wondering about John…. 😂
May your Holidays be Happy (and full of giggles)!
Lora!! All your vintage makes my heart so happy. I simply LOVE it!! ❤️ I loved joining you on this hop! Always such a joy!!
Thanks, Aliya. I always enjoy joining you on these, too:)
You’re making my vintage heart skip a beat Lora! I love how you’re using the old silver pieces as candle holders. It makes such a beautiful display on the mantel shelf and then there’s the decorated primitive cupboard. So pretty with the vignette on top and yes I noticed the jingle bell garland too! 😁 Lovely tour my friend!
Thanks for your sweet words, Michelle:) I got the candle in the silver idea from Cindy’s IG (county road 407). So many wonderful ideas from such talented ladies!
