Weekly Rambles
Weekly Rambles is a summary of the week, plus favorite decor and creative inspiration from around the web.
Yes, I missed weekly rambles last week. Sorry, know how much some of you look forward to it every weekend! But it’s been a little crazy around here, as you’ll hear about down below. Hope this week finds Spring popping up in your neck of the woods! On to some rambling…

~Instead of binging on Netflix at night, I’ve been productive, adding fun embellishments to some cute Spring pillows. You can find some HERE if you want to do the same. I did this at Christmas and loved how they turned out; I’ll be doing this regularly! {“How to Easily Give Purchased Pillow Covers Custom Charm”}
~It’s been a year and a 1/2 since we thought we were going to move, and I’m missing a lot of my cute Spring things. So…we went to the storage building (which always makes me crabby) and dug through all the numbered boxes in search of cute Spring things. Anyone else been through the “are we coming or going” thing? Sooo frustrating! (Especially when you’re a home decor/diy blogger!)
~Just yesterday we got word that they’ve lifted the restrictions on senior living facilities, because everyone’s vaccinated. Perfect timing, since we just moved mom and dad into a new facility on Monday. No more quarantine, which means they can see each other! And we can visit whenever we want…without a stupid shield!
~Because of the above-mentioned activities, my house is in a shambles:( And I’m a part of a huge Spring blog hop house tour this Friday! It’s going to be a miracle, folks, but I’ll get er’ done! Just like in college, I’ll pull out my last-minute-Lora magic and do some decorating sprints! Wish I could just sing that little song like Amy Adams did in “Enchanted“, where all the rats and birds come do the work for her! (okay…maybe not the rats;)
~Instead of cranking out new blog posts this week, I reworked some old ones, which is an ongoing thing when you’re a blogger. I’ve got so much content on here; I need to work on a better layout, so you guys can actually find it all! Ah, organization…not my strong suit! But definitely check out “Refreshing Patio Chairs: Stapled Cushion How-To” and “Repurposed Vintage Linens Flatware Pocket How To”and go ahead and Pin, too!

Sending you hugs for all the things you have going on right now, Lora! I know it can make for hard days when things feel uneasy and unsettled about the future. I’m so thankful your parents will be together again and you’ll be able to visit them whenever you want. It’s crazy to think we’ve lived like this because of COVID for so long. Thank you for featuring my jadeite cupcake stands. I really appreciate it. They were so much fun to make. I wish you lived closer, I would invite you over for pound cake in a minute. Hang in there, CoCo
I pray your parents find it enjoyable, it’s a hard decision to make but sometimes they find friends and enjoy themselves. I had an enjoyable time reading these rambles, as I always do. Thank you and have a great weekend.
I hope your Mom and Dad settle in well in their new senior living facility. I remember all too well how time-consuming and exhausting a process that is. Oh, my word, those pillow covers are ADORABLE. Thank you so much for including my dollhouse clocks in your rambles this week! I hope you find some much-needed ME time this week. Happy Spring 🙂
