Gather Halloween Colored Accessories
You don’t have to buy a bunch of Halloween decorations at the big box store to get a festive seasonal look in your home. Simply gather colorful accessories in your desired color scheme.
The set of vintage leafy metal trays in the pic above inspired my Halloween color scheme. Candy corn orange and yellow join green and black accessories in my festive kitchen.
Vintage mixing bowls are stacked, and my scale collection is joined with cute jack o lanterns here and there.

Any accessories that reflect Halloween colors got pulled out. Galvanized buckets with orange labels, old license plates and a faded plaid lunchbox join the fun look.

A cute childrens book is propped up in front of a collage of DIY pumpkins and dollar spot finds. All the different kinds and textures of pumpkins together make the display interesting.

Halloween in the Entry
Our back entry reflects the season, too. Autumn colored accessories are displayed with dried garden hydrangeas and corn husks for natural texture.

Collections with Vintage Style
My Fall colored enamelware teapots came out and made a fun display. I color blocked them with old books and simply added candlelight and a few leaves.

Cozy Kitchen Sitting Area
Our cozy kitchen sitting area is everyone’s favorite. We love sitting next to the glass door and enjoy watching the birds and squirrels. The coffee table arrangement is anchored by the cutest plaid suitcase I bought from my friend, Brooke, at The Junk Parlor. When I saw it pop on her her vintage shopping site, I knew I needed to add it to my (very large) suitcase collection. I loved including it in my Halloween decor!

The fabric pumpkin DIY wreath I made years ago is still one of my favorite wreaths to bring out for the harvest season. I love the variety of vintage plaid fabrics all together. I also love bringing out my stash of thrifted patchwork quilts and crocheted afghans. They add instant seasonal color.

A heavy vintage floor scale anchors the island centerpiece and adds to my collection. I think I’ve lost count how many scales I have currently;)

We don’t get trick or treaters at our house for Halloween; our road is too dark. I just light all the candles and enjoy the fun, cozy ambiance…maybe with a jack o lantern pizza from Papa Murphy’s;) And then a few pieces of candy for dessert;)

I love the way you decorated your kitchen. I don’t ever have anyone come to my house, think they have too many other places to go. Have a Happy Halloween!!
This is such a cool kitchen! I love the style. Thanks for sharing.
So glad you enjoyed it!
ADORABLE, Lora!!! I didn’t know you had so many enamel teapots…they look incredible all displayed together!!!
So good and vintage:) Happy Halloween!
I loved seeing your cozy kitchen. You have motivated me to add a glow in my kitchen today! I still have a few hours to decorate for Halloween LOL! That plaid suitcase is awesome-a true treasure. Can you share more about that key art in the silver frame?
The key art is simply patterned burlap fabric I put in thrifted frames. You could do the same with old science books to get a spooky look, too.
Love your house and all the great ideas for ‘old rescued treasures’ . A day junking ranks 2nd only to spending time with my family.
Yes, I agree, Diane!
