Weekly Rambles
Weekly Rambles is a summary of the week, plus favorite decor and creative inspiration from around the web.
Thanksgiving has passed, and we are now officially in the Christmas season! Are you starting to feel it yet? Mr. Fix-it is just now taking down the cornstalks, and I still need to put lights on the winter greenery outside. I’m feeling a little like the mouse in the “If you give a mouse a cookie book”, seeing something to do everywhere I look! They’re all fun, creative things, my hands just can’t work as fast as my head, unfortunately. This always happens this time of year:( Let’s get on to some Weekly Rambles…

~It’s been a busy week on the blog! I shared my Very Vintage Christmas Decorated Bedroom and have been enjoying all the beautiful blogger’s homes on the Blogger’s Best Holiday Home tour. I love this time of year when we get to peek into other creative homes, all gussied up for the season! Hope you can pour yourself a warm cup of something and enjoy them this weekend, too. I have all their links at the end of my bedroom post.
~I still don’t have the downstairs all decorated. Hopefully this weekend I can finish up? It’s been so much more work since I’m unpacking boxes (from our storage unit) at the same time. I want to use the fun things I haven’t seen for 2 years. Stay tuned for a Shiny Brite-themed kitchen this year with tons of pink, aqua, and green vintage dishes! I like to switch it up every year; last year’s kitchen was red and white {“A Christmas Kitchen with Vintage Nostalgia”}.
~This time of year my creative juices are in overdrive. There are so many fun Christmas things I want to make! And I love giving everyday vintage finds a little bit of special, too. That’s what I did with my “Repurposed Old Grate Decor Idea for Christmas“. Have you found anything holey around your home you can do this with? I’m eyeing a couple of cheese graters now;)
~Tonight we get to attend our first Christmas concert, and it will definitely get me in the mood for the season! Yes, we have to wear masks and get “carded” on the way in, which I’m inwardly rebelling against. But it will be so nice to go with Happy Girl to her alma mater and enjoy the beautiful choral and orchestra music. If you want to watch it live streamed, go to this link on Sunday, December 5 at 3pm CST: St Olaf Christmas Festival, 2021.
~ I can’t wait to have my new studio/craft room/office all set up; it’s going to be so nice to have most of my creative things in one place and organized. Hopefully after the holidays, I can really focus on it! For now, I’m doing a little “intermediate” decorating, so I can at least enjoy working in here.

Thanks Lora, I sometimes get tickled at what you say before we get started on the Rambles. I get my head so full of all the tours, that it makes me go into overload on what I want to do,lol! Eventually I will get my decorating done. Have a great week.
Yes, I totally relate, Marlene!
