Favorite Vintage Christmas Decor Finds
Thrifted home decor for Christmas? Absolutely! Unpack my latest vintage thrifted home finds and hear how i’ll be using them in my holiday decor.

Think it’s become a tradition for me to do a pre-holiday thrifting blitz for some “new” home decor. Maybe it’s the impending winter temps, or just needing a burst of inspiration to get me crafting and decorating. Luckily my favorite secondhand shops never fail the hunt! Let’s unpack my Favorite Vintage Christmas Decor Finds that are inspiring my decorating this year!

Vintage Dishes and Glassware…Always
Yep, I usually head to the dishes and glassware section first. I’m a dish-a-holic and fully admit it. Dishes and glassware are a mainstay of my decorating and I love to switch them up for the seasons. Obviously I was in the red and green mood, which you’ll see from most of my finds;)
Picked up my first ironstone pitcher; yes, I’m a little late to the game. Also found another green pottery mixing bowl (since I’m baking a lot lately-learn more HERE). Vintage restaurant ware always makes me happy (learn more about it HERE). These are the pretty pieces that came home with me. Think the stack of holly dishes will coordinate beautifully with the sets I thrifted before (see Thrifting for Vintage Christmas Decor).

Classic pieces like cake plates, glass candlesticks, silver trays and pretty mirrors can be used year round in any displays.
Thrifting for Linens and Textiles
Another area I love to thrift is the textiles area. Seasonal table wear, bedding, afghans and pillows are an inexpensive way to switch up your seasonal decor. I store them in vintage trunks that double as side tables.
The hand-crocheted tablecloth was only $10. I love to use lace and crocheted tablecloths on the table in winter; reminds me of snow. Cozy, yarny afghans are always at the ready in winter months. I love the creamy white colors for neutral decor.

I also picked up these out-of-season textiles because I loved their vintage fabrics. (well, the pillow is new). Excited to wash them up with THIS soap.

I was so excited to find this Santa grain sack. I can’t tell if it’s legitimately old, or a reproduction. The fabric seems old. Anyone seen one of these before? I should use google lens and find out about it.

Medium Decor Finds Needing Revival
Just like some people are drawn to stray dogs, I’m drawn to the in-the-rough medium decor pieces. I can’t wait to give them new life and make them look pretty in my decor. Think this rustic green cupboard might be perfect for my collection of restaurant ware creamers. Mr. Fix it would think it’s burnable:( But I can see the potential. Tool caddies are one of my favorite decorating pieces in every season. (see 21 Creative Old Tool Caddy Decor Ideas)

Decorative Home Decor Accents
Of course there are always plenty of fun home decor accents to find when you’re thrifting. Here’s what came home with me and how I’m planning on reviving and using them.
Farmhouse kitchen finds. The old laundry washboard was just calling for an evergreen wreath. Yes, I got another scale to add to my collection…but it’s red! (13+ Creative Ways to Decorate with Old Scales (for every season) Yes, I still needed a red one and a green;) Farm animals are going to fill my kitchen this Christmas…I’m feeling a farmhouse kitchen theme happening.

Think this plastic wreath is vintage. Not a fan of the red peppers and apples or tacky bow, so they’re coming off. This one will probably lay for a centerpiece somewhere; it’s kinda floppy.

Loved the vibe of this vintage vase. Think it will fit nicely into our Christmas bedroom decor filled with evergreens and winter flowers.

I already brought in a bag of antique brass dresser hardware and popped it in a bowl. And an old tambourine already became a type of wreath on the hutch. You can see me styling it HERE (follow me while you’re there:)

And lastly…yes, I bought two more Dept 56 village houses. I haven’t created a display for years, because I honestly don’t have the space (and have way more cute things that I like to use). But the kids are going to inherit these, because they’re sentimental about them. And Happy Girl and hubs are about ready to move into their first house. Think they need to create a display on the piano they’re going to get from us.

Hope you enjoyed this chatty post and seeing what came home with me from my thrifting trips! Now I need to get decorating, so you can see all of these finds styled and pretty!
