Weekly Rambles
Weekly Rambles is a summary of the week, plus favorite decor and creative inspiration from around the web.
Has Spring been challenged in your neck of the woods? Yes, our trees are leafing out and we have green grass and daffodils, but cold temps and snowflakes? If you’ve got it in your neighborhood, I understand. I’ve been so jealous seeing others online planting flowers and veggies; but I am happy for them! I’ll just buy another bunch at the grocery store;) On to Weekly Rambles.

~It was my Bday this week and my kids gifted me with one of those heritage tests. I’m a good-old american mutt, so I’m kind of excited to see what surprises may show up in my DNA. Plus, we’re a history-loving family. Time to do some spitting…{you can get the test I got HERE}
~Spring treasure hunting season is upon us! Celebrate good times! I saw my first garage sale signs this week. Have you hit any yet? I really wish we’d get to enjoy some church sales this year, but am doubtful. Maybe a farm sale would fill the void.
~Mr. Fix-it did indulge me for my Bday and came curbside junking with me! It was nice to not worry that I don’t know how to back up the trailer, and didn’t have to tie down the load by myself. Fun junk-loving date! We came home with a small trailer-full for me and a whole pile of electric cords for him to peel the copper out of. We each have fun in our own way, I guess! {See last year’s haul that I’m still working through in “Curbside Junking Vintage Finds, Best Ever“}
~Guess I got on a lucky streak, because I’ve won 2 giveaways in the last 2 weeks! I never win anything. It was so fun! Thanks to my blogger friends Rachel at The Ponds Farmhouse and Michelle and Cindy of The Painted Hinge and County Road 407 for hosting giveaways! Plus, I’m sending out the Creative Vintage Darlings vintage giveaway goodies to @blupopdesign. Congrats! Who doesn’t love a good giveaway?
~May Day is next Saturday! If you’re wondering what it is, check out the May Day basket I made a few years ago, plus the how-to in “May Day Basket How To“. I love this sweet tradition and have been a giver and a receiver! Gather your supplies this week!

Congrats on your winnings, Lora! I saw you one Michelle & Cindy’s the other day. They say it comes in threes so buy that lottery ticket. LOL I’ve been wanting to do the DNA test kit but keep chickening out. I don’t know why. Have a great weekend!
Hmmm…I’ve never bought a lottery ticket; now you’ve got me thinking, Marie;)
