Love your idea. I would have love to have heard that conversation, i miss those days, even my grandchildren don’t hangout here like they use to. I did collect cutting boards for awhile, i have big, little, and in between. They are fun to use in many ways. Thanks Lora, i enjoy reading your blog.

Glad you enjoyed all the ideas, Marlene! I am savoring this time with all of them home:)

  3. so interesting about the wood vs plastic boards as I thought plastic was safer since I put them thru the dishwasher. please elaborate. I’m in camp Tired of Cooking AND camp Too Many Mess-makers in my Kitchen! our adult son lost his job & stays with us on weekdays. If you make it, they will come right? and then they will take it home to reheat on the weekends. haha. But no knee comparisons yet. thanks for the levity in a discouraging season.

Honestly Pamela, I didn’t do any research on the difference; I prefer getting the cliff notes version from the child who knows everything about anything! I’m riding the fence currently and have both, but the wood ones feel much more “fashionable” to use;) And yes, my 3 6 foot eaters are making me tired of the kitchen & grocery stores too; totally relate!

  4. I love your cutting boards, Lora. They’re awesome and such fun shapes. And the printable is a decor bonus for adding that finishing touch. So what kind of cutting boards do we use? Like you, I grew up with plastic ones but my Mr. is all about the wood, and so ours are all wood. We use them for cheese/charcuterie, appies, toast and jam, cutting on… Pretty much anything goes!

Another person who’s changed over! Now I’m wanting some of those cool vintage ones with the chunky handles I see in magazine kitchens;) And I haven’t tried the charcuterie thing yet, either!

  5. I can’t believe you got those wooden cutting boards at Ikea. They’re so pretty with their shapes and shades. Such a cute printable!
