(in)courage Devotional
I am so excited to tell you about the devotional I wrote for (in)courage, a daily email sent out by DaySpring. (See my name up in the corner?)
With all the changes I’ve had this past year, closing my beloved store, (Here) I’ve had to do some hard thinking and praying on where God is leading me next.
I’ve always enjoyed writing for the blog (that’s why I started this new one, Here), but I desired to challenge myself with some different types of writing…and actually send in some submissions.
Well, guess what? My first submission got accepted and I’m just a little bit excited (!!!)
I started getting the (in)courage daily devotionals about 6 months ago through encouragement from my sister. I really appreciate the everyday stories and spiritual insights from their various writers. If you take a look through their regular contributors you’ll recognize quite a few names of women who’ve written books and blogs you’ve probably seen and read (Melissa Michaels, The Inspired Room, Emily P. Freeman, Chatting at the Sky, Lysa TerKeurst and Myquillyn Smith, alumni). Solid women of faith with a variety of background and experiences.
And believe it or not, my devotional doesn’t have anything to do with vintage, junk, or decorating! It’s about nature and how God has it all ordered and under control. We can rest in the fact that He knows our comings and goings just the same. “Exits and Entrances” is the title and just writing it encouraged me that the Lord knows where this lady is headed next, even though it’s still a little fuzzy to me.
Hope you’ll pop over to (in)courage.me and read “Exits and Entrances” {Here} and let me know what you think! And go ahead and “Share” it with your friends, too! We could all use a dose of encouragement.
While you’re there, go ahead and sign up for their daily encouragement email…such a great way to start the day!
“The Lord will watch over our coming and going both now and forever more.” Psalm 121:8
