Franklin, Tennesse: Pretty Shops
There was such a wide variety of wonderful shops in Franklin, Tennessee. I decided to group a couple of my favorites together, so you could get a feel for the unique styles offered in this fun town.
Last week, I shared all the beautiful booths from Winchester Antique Mall {Here}. As I made my way down to the other end of 2nd Ave, I meandered into a cute little shop that occupied an old house, Scarlett Scales Antiques.
I was welcomed by a beautifully dressed springtime table, perfectly outfitted with antique dishes, recreated spindle candlesticks, adorable new quilted placemats and fresh foliage, all perfectly styled. Now this is my comfort zone (which looks a lot like how I used to display my old store, {Here})
The perfect combination of antiques and fresh, new merchandise with re-invigorated vintage furniture as a backdrop. And spring had definitely sprung here!
The high ceilings featured unique light fixtures, and the displays were able to reach for the sky.
Re-created vintage finds combined with a little quirky funkiness in the displays…these people speak my language!
Do you see how they grouped similar items all together? A whole shelf of brown bottles, a whole arrangement of vintage turned candlesticks, bundled birch logs? Yep…my favorite way of styling to create a calm, yet eclectic vibe. Lots of merchandise offered, yet controlled, not jumbled.
Each of the many rooms featured a different collection, a different style and theme. And every corner was deliberately covered to coordinate. From travel themed globes and distressed wood U.S. cutouts, to beautiful boutique clothing; one room specialized in the kitchen, another the bath. New market merchandise was sprinkled into the corresponding themed rooms.
The friendly visual team was finishing up the spring displays, spreading flowering branches, nests and eggs around. Entering from the side door, customers are greeted by a delightful general store themed display. New lampshades, area rugs, and jewelry, along with lotions and candles combine for the perfect place to buy for yourself or a friend.
Definitely don’t miss Scarlett Scales if you visit Franklin!

Another pretty gem is the adorable Tin Cottage:
They had me at hello with their twinkle lights amassed in the branched ceiling. It immediately felt like a special place.
Their finely curated gift and home merchandise was perfectly displayed in themed groupings. And they had lovely farmhouse-styled wall words throughout, also.
They were finishing up their springtime displays and I loved seeing the fresh mossy greens, cotton branches, and potting shed accessories.
Definitely think of someone you need to buy a gift for here, or pretend it’s your birthday…don’t you just want one of those galvanized wall pockets, or the adorable mini topiaries?
Oh, how I love pretty shops!
