- Fold in cranberries and walnuts.
- Pour into greased or parchment lined loaf pan.
- Bake 350 degrees for 60 minutes.

Notes
Tip: Freeze your bag of fresh cranberries, and it will be much easier to chop them into small pieces.
The recipe listed only makes 1 loaf (standard size pan: 8 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ x 2 1/2″) about 12 slices. I usually make 2 loaves (double it); one to eat now and one to pop in the freezer or as a Holiday gift.
Tip: Freeze your bag of fresh cranberries, and you can chop them much easier.

Looks wonderful !! What size loaf pan did you use ?
I used the standard size here in the U. S., 8 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
Lora, this looks so tasty! I had a friend years ago that made it every Christmas. I haven’t had a piece in years. Pinned this recipe!😊
I got the recipe from a good friend who made it every year, too:)
Make two loaves – noted! I’ve just downloaded this recipe and am adding it to my Christmas baking list. It looks soooo good, Lora! Pinned!
It is! Enjoy, Jayne:)
Lora,
This cranberry orange bread looks so delicious and brings back memories of my time in nursing school—yes, Columbia along with your mom, Jeanie, Carol (the stories never end!). I had to stay in the dorm over Christmas as I was scheduled to work. My sister sent a “care package” that contained her cranberry orange bread, and I’ll never forget how special it was–a taste of home to take away the sting of having to work, and being pretty isolated over Christmas. Thanks! Kathy Larson
Glad it brought back memories, Kathy! I don’t think my mom made this one, but she enjoyed eating mine;) Hard to not have her this first Christmas:(
I made this bread this morning and it’s delicious. Your recipe is very clear, simply written – not a lot of extra words – so it’s easy to follow the instructions. Do you have a tip how to chop the cranberries? I sliced each one in half, it was slightly time consuming, but worth it! I haven’t tried using the food processor because I’m afraid it would turn into mush.
Glad you enjoyed it, Gloria! I usually freeze my bag of fresh cranberries; makes them easier to chop. Thanks for mentioning; I’d forgotten to add that to the recipe tips!
I love cranberry orange bread and sadly the recipe passed with my mom. I was still young enough where I loved baking as I do now.
Thanks for sharing this recipe!
