Thank you so much for the great idea! I have many beautiful linen pieces and this is such a great way to use them. I never thought about using them in this way!

So glad you enjoyed it, Becky! I love being able to use those old linens in a whole new way:)

  2. How cute! Am I awful for automatically thinking the cutoff shirt sleeves would make more great pumpkins–that’s my current obsession! I love old embroidery and doing my own simple stuff, too! I have a sign in my plastic bureau of old linens in my booth that says “these are NOT your grandmother’s linens and it it OK” to cut them up for projects!

    1. Lora Bloomquist says:

Oh, I love “cutters”, Kathy! Who says you need to enjoy all those old linens like the previous generation did? And, no you’re not awful to think of the shirt sleeves as more pumpkin potential…it just means you’re reading the right blog;)

  3. Love it Lora! Those sleeves look just amazing. Those owls are so darn cute!

The owl runner looks familiar 🙂

  5. Aren’t you clever, Lora? I love this idea and love your new, flouncy shirt. I’d love to see you model it 🙂

  6. This is a very clever idea, Lora! You couldn’t have picked a more adorable table runner to use for the flounce. I think something like this would make lovely gifts with that personal touch. Pinned

  7. You came up with such a clever idea. It makes the flannel shirt so feminine and pretty. The little owls are so adorable, this has got to be your favorite shirt.
