  1. I just came across this post; I am a dh lover. I don’t have the precision of eye to build dh furniture or do counted cross stitch, but I love what I calll “scrap craft”–making something out of almost nothing! Like bringing home the little plastic communion cups from church, painting the inside with acrylic paint, then gluing on a flower, sports emblem, or small picture on the outside. My kids weren’t allowed to throw away toothpaste caps–potential flower pots, waste baskets, and lamp shades. I embarass my SO at the diner wiping out cream cups and wiping off coffee stirrers to upcycle! NOW, I need time to “play”, making stuff. Maybe after Christmas??

I love dollhouses, too, Kathy. Actually just bought another metal one because I love the graphics. So fun to hear about all your repurposing ideas!

  2. Hi Lora. Am I crazy because I think I would spend hours “playing” with that dollhouse. I remember when I was little Santa got me a collapsible dollhouse. I LOVED it. But after years of play it started ripping at the folding parts. But by that time I was growing out of it. Thanks for sharing. Your family did a great job! Cindy

I know, Cindy! It was such a fun project; I wish I had someone to make one for every year! I made a log cabin one for my other niece years ago that was super fun, too. Once I have some grandchildren…
